I’m in Florida for my uncle’s wedding and bit of vacation. The hotel where we’re staying has a hallway with mirrors on both sides, and I could not resist a photo.

I spent the afternoon walking around Smithsonian exhibits and national momuments with my brother John, his wife Elba, their kids Anna and Kim, and my nephew Joe. Here are Kim, Elba, and Ann.

Jono and I went out to Kevin Ventd’s party lastnight. I got to hang with a few of my homies from highschool church days. We had a great time standing around the fire pit, poking the fire, drinkin’ beer.

Jono came over this evening and we stayed up till the wee hours playing songs and discussing what we believed. This is what I came up with in contrast to his Christian creed:

I woke up on Xmas morning not to snow, but freezing rain. As the resident fire-builder, I immediately feared we would have no dry wood for a fire, grabbed the closest hat and coat, and went out to bring in the dry stuff at the bottom of the stack. Mom laughed and took my picture, saying I looked like an Hispanic Yankee Doodle.
